Winthrop Epic Butt

The Lightest Aluminum Butt on the Market

Strategically engineered for reduced weight, EPIC Butt features a fluted handle grip for fighting fish after fish. Our comfortable mushroom gimbal is perfect for standup and keyed to prevent rotation. EPIC Butt is anodized then sealed for extra protection. Standard colors available are black or silver with optional gold hoods.

EPIC Butt is a glue through-butt design, geared with octagonal hoods, matching nuts and nylon washers. A machined flat on the reel seat ensures anti-reel rotation while fighting the fish. EPIC Butt comes with a either short or long mushroom gimbal to be installed by the rod builder. Created to accept reels from 30# – 50# Class.

Epic Butt #2 is our newest fluted straight butt capable of accepting a standard size #2 ferrule. This butt features the same adjustable hoods and ferrule-nut as used on our Terminator Adjusta-Butt to accommodate different size reels. Epic Butt #2 comes with choice of short or long gimbal installed.

New – EPIC Butt #1 is a modified version of EPIC Butt and accepts a size #1 ferrule and ferrule nut instead of the glue through-butt design.

Every detail is important. We designed our gimbal with a mushroom shape for more comfort, so you stay focused on the fight. Available in our classic short design and our new long gimbal adds an extra 1-3/4” to your Epic Butt.

Winthrop Terminator Adjusta-Butt

Now, with the push of a button, you have the flexibility to position your rod from straight to bent.

Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with a hardened stainless steel positioning mechanism; the Adjusta-Butt is precision-built for lightness and strength.

It’s newly designed reel seat has an adjustable machined hood with small and large mouths. It is created to accept reels from #30-130 Class.

Our Delrin Collet Nut is made to stay tight to the hood at all times.

Now available: sizes #2 and #4 short and long, and in standard colors black and silver.

Hoods and Ferrule Nuts are available in standard colors silver and black with optional gold.

T-10

The T-10X allows you to choose 10 different angles from 0 to 90 degrees. With a choice of angles, T-10X gives you the choice to put the rod tip where you want it at the bite and in battle.

For fishing out of a swivel rod holder, deep dropping, tuna and dredge rods, dredge booms, and chair rods. Designed to take on extreme conditions, available in standard ferrule size #4 (80 class) or ferrule size #6 (130 class and up). It’s a perfect match for electric reels or situations where maximum strength and adjustability is required.
