The X-Caliber roller guide’s one-piece frame is designed to stretch and flex with the action of the rod and not give up any strength in the frame.
XC30 & XC80 frames have an extra wind-on clearance that a #2 pencil can fit through for large knots and/or hardware.
Available in sets or individually. A standard set contains 5 guides. View the pdf for a complete list of guide set options and part numbers.
On our XC130W set a standard felt tip marker can fit through every guide with ample clearance, allowing large knots and/ or hardware to pass through easily.

Stripper Guides
When creating a custom arrangement for a unique build, begin by choosing the correct size stripper guide for the rod blank. Then match your running guides for roller height, rod length, guide spacing, and knot clearance.
XC1W (WIDE)
Designed for 80# class to unlimited class. Available with long-life bushing assembly OR ball bearing assembly. This stripper guide is standard in our XC80 & XC130W guide set.
XC1 (REGULAR)
Designed for 50 class through 80 class rods. Available with long-life Bushing assembly. This guide is commonly used as a narrower alternative option for the XC1W that comes in the XC80 guide set.
XC1M (Medium)
X-Caliber Guide 1 Medium. Designed for 30# class rods and up. Available with long-life Bushing assembly. This stripper guide is standard in our XC30 guide set.
XC1S (Small)
Designed for 10 class through 30# class rods. Our smallest stripper guide is available with long-life Bushing assembly. This is an excellent choice when building lightweight rods with ring guides.
